Fjelberg

Fjelberg er en tidligere selvstendig kommune i Hordaland fylke opprettet som Fjelberg formannskapsdistrikt i 1837.
I 1855 ble Fjelberg (3 587 innb) slått sammen med Eid (1 207 innb) til den nye Fjelberg kommune.
I 1865 ble Vikebygd sogn (1 062 innb) skilt ut fra Fjelberg og slått sammen med Finnås (2 227 innb) til Sveen (Sveio) kommune.
1. januar 1898 ble en del av Stord med 117 innbyggere overført til Fjelberg kommune.
1. juli 1916 ble Ølen (1 715 innb) skilt ut fra Fjelberg som egen kommune. Fjelberg hadde etter fradelingen (1 926 innb).
1. januar 1965 ble Fjelberg slått sammen med Kvinnherad, det meste av Varaldsøy og deler av Skånevik til den nye Kvinnherad kommune. Fjelberg hadde ved sammenslåingen (2 308 innb).
