Det indiske kastesystemet er ei samfunnsordning som er utbreidd over heile Sør-Asia og tildels i sørasiatiske utvandrarmiljø. Under dette systemet er ulike sosiale klassar delte inn i grupper som ikkje giftar seg med kvarandre og i nokre tilfelle ikkje et saman. Ordninga er særleg tett bunde til hinduismen, men finst òg blant dei andre religiøse gruppene i Sør-Asia.
Kastesystemet har lete fleire svært ulike folkegrupper leva fredeleg saman, men har òg ført til undertrykking og rasisme, og er i dag ulovleg i India.
