Wikipedia:Maramataka
Nō Wikipedia Māori
This is a good place to explain the calendars that have popped up on the 2005 page and may soon appear elsewhere. It's possible there's a quick way to do the rest of the necessary templates. See this page's talk page for progress and ideas.
You can follow the templates for yourself.
Before the heading for any month, you add the appropriate template (ie one of those things in double curly brackets, which link to pages called "Template:...."). For Feb 2005, it's "tau B 2", where "tau" needs no explanation here, "B" is the en:dominical letter for the year, and "2" is the month. That corresponds to the English "Template:Year B 2".
Behind the scenes, someone has to have created the said template, with "wording" thus: "marama28tu|Pēpuere", based on the month's 28 days and starting-day Rātū (the only weekday where the abbreviation comes near matching the English!).
Corresponding lengthy templates in the English WP ("month 28 Tu" in this example; no obvious need for spaces) are then copied, with the word "month", which appears near the beginning, changed, of course, to "marama".
All of the dozens of templates in that group use Template:marama to place the appropriate day numbers and name-abbreviation links in the right places.
The specific templates needed for 2005 (and other years with the same calendar - see maramataka) - are the twelve that have "B" plus the month number and the ten that cover the month length and start-day (and have a pipe plus the month name added, to determine what the top line of the table displays):

- and it has these two:
[edit] Template:JulyCalendar2005
Template:31DayCalendarStartingOnFriday - same as what we have on "2005" but with the year in an extra cell at the bottom.

Looks harmless when you see the code, but the display is fairly impressive; I've not studied the differences between it and the similar-looking things we already have ten of (eg marama28tu).
[edit] Template:31DayCalendarStartingOnFriday
That one looks as if it is related to Marama31me above.
