H. G. Wells

Herbert George Wells (1866. szeptember 21. – 1946. augusztus 13.) angol író volt, aki főleg a science fiction műfajban írt műveiről ismert. (Például "A Világok harca", "A láthatatlan ember", "Dr. Moreau szigete"). A világirodalom egyik legtermékenyebb írója, aki szinte minden létező műfajban alkotott. Nyíltan védelmezte a (nyugati típusú) szocialista nézeteket, sok műve tartalmaz politikai, vagy szociális jellegű utalásokat.
