WWE Backlash
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Backlash is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment, which started in 1999. As of 2004, Backlash became a RAW exclusive event. Backlash will often feature a rematch from WrestleMania, or a match based on events that took place at WrestleMania. On three occasions (1999, 2004, and 2005), the main event for Backlash was identical to the main event for that year's WrestleMania (with the exception that the 1999 Backlash match featured Shane McMahon as the special referee rather than Mankind).
