WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP are two low-powered television stations, both affiliated with the FOX network serving the Watertown, New York area. WNYF-CA broadcasts from Watertown, while WNYF-LP broadcasts from nearby Massena. Both stations broadcast on analog channel 28 and are known on-air as FOX 28. The two stations are owned by United Communications Corp, which also owns WWNY-TV, the local CBS affiliate. Although WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP do not operate any digital signals, the can be seen on sister station WWNY's DT2 digital subchannel.

WWNY produces a weekday 10 PM newscast for WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP called 7 News Tonight on FOX. Also, WWNY simulcasts its weekday morning newscast on the two stations rebranded as 7 News This Morning on FOX. WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP do not have their own websites, but have programming listings on WWNY's website.

Before becoming a separate, full-time FOX affiliate, WNYF-CA was a translator for WWTI, the local ABC affiliate. At that point, WWTI had secondary affiliation with FOX.

In 2001, United Communications Corp. (operator of CBS affiliate WWNY-TV) entered into an agreement with Smith Broadcasting to start up WNYF-CA as a full-time FOX affiliate with a low power translator WNYF-LP in Massena. With WNYF-CA's own FOX affiliation and the addition of WNYF-LP, came a 10 PM weekday newscast produced by WWNY. The newscast debuted on April 11, 2001, and was at first seen by viewers that could receive the limited, low power signals of WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP. The two stations were not carried on cable at that point. An agreement with Time Warner Cable in the Fall of 2001 placed the stations on channel 2. The 10 PM news debuted for the rest of the North Country on October 4, 2001. After a year of joint operation of the two stations by Smith Broadcasting, United Communications Corp. took complete ownership of WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP and made them sister stations to WWNY.

Until September 2006, when UPN stut down and merged with The WB, WNYF-CA and WNYF-LP also ran some programming from that network.
