WJZW is an FM radio station licensed to Woodbridge, Virginia, broadcasting on 105.9 MHz. The station serves the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area with a smooth jazz format, and is known on air as Smooth Jazz 105.9. Its transmitter is located in Arlington, Virginia.
Prior to WJZW, it was known as WCXR, a classic rock format.
The station is under ownership of ABC/Disney, which has announced that it would sell its ABC Radio holdings including WJZW to Citadel Broadcasting. The sale is expected to close by the end of 2006.
