Axel Wallenberg (industriman)

Axel Fingal Wallenberg, född 13 september 1874, avliden 1963, industriman och diplomat, var son till Oscar Wallenberg och Anna von Sydow, halvbror till Knut Wallenberg, och bror till Gustaf, Marcus, och Oscar. Han var dessutom far till teatermannen Gustav Wally och svärfar till Ragnar Söderberg, grundare till investmentbolaget Ratos. Gift med Elsa f. Lilliehöök af Fårdala, svensk tennismästarinna.
Axel Wallenberg var 1921–1926 Sveriges envoyé i Washington, där han särskilt framgångsrikt hävdade svensk pappersindustris intressen. Wallenberg var styrelseledamot i Stockholms Enskilda Bank och byggde upp ett eget industriimperium. Han var bland annat storägare i skogsföretaget Kopparfors, Arbrå Kraftverk och grundade rederiet Väring. Axel Wallenberg var också en märkesman inom den svenska tennissporten och ägde fastigheten Villagatan 4 i Stockholm.
