LOL that's one of the funny things with international english as opposed to native english :) In russian, italian, piedmontese (and I suppose, spanish, too) language spaces, PR is a short form derived from english, meaning Public Relations. There is also a russian neologism Пиарить (piarit'), based on an import from phonetic english, meaning "to act on public relations" or "to influence public opinion". But, as it is often the case, native english speakers do not get it. I suppose we are already in the process of seeing the birth of anglish languages, as it happened with romance languages, from latin. "beh" -> "be'" (con l'apostrofo)
"É facile" -> "È facile" (con l'accento grave)
"Y que? -> "¿Y que?" (con il punto interrogativo robesciato)
