Rødstrupe er den tredje boka til Jo Nesbø. Den fikk han bokhandlerprisen for. I denne boken er Hole kommet hjem til Norge, og historien begynner med at han ved en misforståelse skyter en Secret Service-agent i forbindelse med president Clintons Oslo-besøk. For å dekke over saken blir han forfremmet til førstebetjent og overflyttet til Overvåkningspolitiet. Her får han snusen i våpensmugling med ledetråder til det nynazistiske miljøet i Oslo. Vi får også et innblikk i Harrys alkoholiserte liv og hans hyppige besøk på stamstedet Schrøder Restaurant.
