Bøverbru

Bøverbru er et lite tettsted i Vestre Toten kommune med ca 700 innbyggere Tettstedet vokste opp rundt Bøverbru stasjon på Skreiabanen fra 1902. Samme år ble Bøverbru tatt i bruk som postadresse. Betegnelsen "Bøfr-Broen" på en bru over elva Bøvra finnes i tinglyste dokumenter fra 1700-tallet.
I første del av 1900-tallet var steinbrudd og kalkbrenning grunnlag for vekst på Bøverbru. Toten Kjøtt AS og Corinor (kjøkken-/baderomsinnredning) er i dag tettstedets største produksjonsbedrifter. De fleste ligger samlet på næringsarealet Gjestrumfeltet.
Etter at Skreiabanen ble lagt ned i 1987 samt at RV4 og Gjøvikbanen i motsetning til kommunens andre tettsteder ikke går gjennom der, har Bøverbru blitt noe i utkanten av kommunen.
Bøverbru barneskole er fremdeles i drift mens Rud klokkergård nå er et skolemuseum.
