חט

חט הוא שן של יונקים מסוימים שבולטת מחוץ לפה.
בין בעלי חיים שלהם יש חטים ניתן למנות את הפיל, היפופוטם, ניבתן והחדשן (narwhal, סוג של ליוויתן ארקטי).
חטים משמשים לייצור שנהב בו משתמשים בחפצי נוי ותכשיטים, ובעבר בחפצים נוספים כמו קלידי פסנתרים.
כיוון שרוב בעלי החיים אשר יש להם חטים, נמצאים בסכנת הכחדה (בעיקר הפיל האפריקאי), סחר השנהב מוגבל על ידי אמנת האו"ם לסחר בבעלי חיים וצמחים בסכנת הכחדה (CITES - Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora). לא ידוע מתי יוסרו המגבלות הללו.
