The Pogues

The Pogues on irlantilainen punk-vaikutteinen folk rock -yhtye, joka oli erityisen suosittu 1980- ja 1990-luvuilla. Sen perustivat Shane MacGowan (laulu), James Fearnley (haitari) ja Spider Stacy (tinapilli) vuonna 1982. Poliittiset teemat saivat sen muistuttamaan myös The Clashia. Soitinvalikoima taas toi tyypillistä irlantilaista kansanmusiikin tunnelmaa. Myöhemmin yhtyeeseen tuli lisää jäseniä ja sähköisempiä soittimia. Yhtyeen suurin hitti "If I Should Fall From Grace With God" on vuodelta 1988.
