Xpedior
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Xpedior was a dot-com company that was created in the late 1990's as a spin-off of a half-dozen regional eBusiness consulting firms. It competed with the likes of Scient, Viant, Proxicom, Razorfish, Cambridge Technology Partners and March First. At its height, Xpedior had offices throughout the United States, and was expanding into Europe, Latin America and Australia. Along with its competition, Xpedior experienced a precipitous decline in sales pipeline and billable hours in the months following the March 2000 decline of the stock market. While this event was a key factor in Xpedior's demise, so was the failure of its parent company PSINet, Inc. in delivering on its promise to inject 50 million dollars into the company as part of its purchase of the staffing services firm, Metamor.
