WYCC is a Public Broadcasting System television station in Chicago, Illinois. It brands itself as Wise TV WYCC and is found on analog channel 20 and digital channel 21. It is based at Richard Daley College. Its transmitter is atop the John Hancock Center, one of the tallest buildings in the United States. The Chicago area has 2 other PBS member stations, WTTW and WYIN, but according to the General Manager, WYCC differentiates itself by its focus on adult education and by obtaining only 13% of its programming from PBS.

The television station is funded and governed by guidelines provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Funding is also provided by member donations, collected throughout the year and through pledge drives.

WYCC has 2 claims: the largest minority-operated public television station; and according to the Nielsen Station Index, the fastest growing television station in its Chicago market area. It reaches 3.5 million homes in Chicago and 6 million homes in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin; and averages 750,000 viewers each television broadcast season.

As part of the City Colleges of Chicago, the television station offers distance learning courses, when viewed may be credited towards an associate degree at any of the city colleges. The city colleges also use WYCC to air informational programs for neighborhood outreach and community service.

WYCC is the Chicago-area carrier for "BBC World News", "Out of Ireland", and "Tartan TV", the last of which focuses on Scotland. In addition, it carries "Monarch of the Glen", "Last of the Summer Wine", "Are You Being Served?", and "Monty Python's Flying Circus".

It has also carried Ballykissangel, an Irish comedy soap opera. As of this writing, WYCC and WTTW show a similar number of scripted British shows and both broadcast Monty Python's Flying Circus.

As a Public Broadcasting Service television station, WYCC provide children's programming. Favorites include Clifford the Big Red Dog, whose lead character was voiced by John Ritter.

WYCC offers comprehensive international and national news coverage. It offers BBC World News broadcast from London and Washington twice daily, as well as a news program broadcast from Ireland. Popular news talk shows include those hosted by Charlie Rose and Tavis Smiley. During the legislative session, it broadcasts a talk show focusing on Illinois politics, broadcast from the floors of the Illinois General Assembly in Springfield.
