WLRN-TV is a PBS member station broadcasting on channel 17 (DTV 20) in Miami, Florida and serves the South Florida Metropolitan area, from Palm Beach to Key West. WLRN-TV (previously WTHS) signed on the air in August 1955 as a non-profit, non-commercial broadcast station licensed to the School Board of Miami-Dade County. WLRN-TV presents a variety of educational and local programming to the South Florida community. The station offices and studios are located in Miami.

WLRN-TV is comprised of a television station and twenty closed-circuit educational channels. WLRN-TV broadcast in two types of format, analog on channel 17 and digital on channel 22. WLRN-TV Channel 17 airs PBS nationally recognized series to compliment locally produced specials, as well as programming that features an array of cultural, informational, arts, science and documentary specials. WLRN-TV also provides media support to Miami-Dade County Public Schools comprised of 320 schools and with an enrollment of over 360,000 students.

The school board also owns WLRN-FM 91.3, affiliated with NPR.
