Welcome to WikiProject Houston. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Houston, Texas. The project was established on November 7, 2006. Editors who are interested in contributing, please sign up below and post any ideas and suggestions on the Talk page. Also, feel free to edit this page and add any articles that need work or that you feel require attention below in the tasks section.

About the project

Establish Wikipedia as one of the premier online resources on Houston.
[edit] Our goals
- To provide guidelines and recommendations for articles that describe all aspects of the city of Houston and the surrounding metropolitan area.
- To improve Wikipedia's coverage of Houston by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles and related portal.
- To serve as the central point of discussion for issues related to Houston in Wikipedia.

The project generally considers any article related to Houston to be a valid project topic.

The parent of this WikiProject is WikiProject Cities. At a state level, the parent of this project is WikiProject Texas.

- Added a few statements and reseqenced. Grouped oil/energy industries and moved the Port down a bit. Need aviation and space industries? Added a reference section, but need to format the footnotes. Postoak 02:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
