The Israel national rugby union team (Hebrew language: נבחרת ישראל בראגבי) represents Israel at a national level in international rugby union competitions. The team is governed by the Israel Rugby Union, who oversees all rugby union in Israel.

[edit] Early history
Soldiers in the British military spread the game in the first half of the 20th Century. The game was continued by Israelis of Anglo Saxon descent.
An Israel international side first played in 1981 against Switzerland.

After the 1967 War, rugby reemerged in Israel and the team is currently progressing to becoming a powerhouse.
