Ice Hockey Division III World Championships

The Ice Hockey Division III World Championships are an annual sports event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. They are the lowest level of the international ice hockey world championships.
The two national teams that finish last in their groups at the Ice Hockey Division II World Championships are relegated to Division III for next year's world championships. At the Division III championships, the two best placed teams are promoted to next year's Ice Hockey Division II Championships.
Division III was formed out of the lowest ranked teams of Pool D.
