[edit] Biography

Daxter was a human from Sandover Village. His best friend was Jak.

In the beginning of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak and Daxter are making their way to Misty Island, the one place Samos told them not to go. They arrive on the island just in time to witness a large gathering of Lurkers before two twisted persons. Jak and Daxter, worried by what they are seen, are on their way off of the island when they are confronted by a pool of Dark Eco. While his friend inspects the pool, Jak locates a small Red Eco barrel. When they go to leave, however, a Lurker Commander attacks them. Jak kills the Lurker using the Eco barrel, but the explosion throws Daxter into the Dark Eco pit. Daxter flys back out of the pit, unharmed, but changed from his previous form. He had been transformed into an ottsel, a hybrid of an otter and a weasel. They return to Sandover Village and seek help from Samos, but proclaims that he couldn't help Daxter, even if he wanted to. He adds that only Gol Acheron, Sage of Dark Eco can help change Daxter back, and he lives far to the north. He and Jak go on a journey to find Gol. At the near end, Jak battles Gol and his sister, Maia, but only defeats them with the help of the four Sages who their powers to form a source of Light Eco. Daxter realizes that the Light Eco would change him back to normal. He is now forced to make a tough decision. He decides to allow Jak to save the world, thus meaning Daxter will be an ottsel forever.

During Daxter, inside a bar, Daxter is bragging to the patrons about his so-called "adventures". Of course, this leaves very little impression on his audience, except for an old man named Osmo, head of the Kritter Ridder Extermination Company, who sees Daxter's potential and offers him a job as an exterminator. Daxter refuses the job and the old man tricks him into the job. He then completes various jobs throughout some of the city.

During Jak 3, he finds out that ottsels are the fabled Precursors in the Jak and Daxter mythology. So it was seen as a blessing that Daxter became an Ottsel. When Daxter heres this he starts to jump up and down and dancing while chanting " I'm a Precursor, I'm a Precursor!". Then the Precursors send Jak and Daxter to destroy the Dark Ship, but when he does so, Errol takes control of a gigantic, spider-legged Dark Maker Terraformer but is once again is defeated. The Precursors offer to restore Daxter to his original form, but all he asks for is a pair of pants, as he truly misses them. Tess likes the pants and wishes for the exact same pair, the Ottsel leader (Precurser Leader) says " Be careful what you wish for!" and zaps Tess into an Ottsel so the pants could fit. The Precursers tell Jak they want to show him something, when he asks "What?" they answer by saying "The Universe!". Then Jak asks Daxter " You comin Dax?". Daxter decides to stay behind. When the Precursors are about to leave with Jak at the end of Jak 3, Daxter and Tess move in to kiss as ottsels but Jak stops them by yelling "Hey!" as Daxter stopped Jak and Keira from kissing in Jak and Daxter the Precurser Legacy and in Jak 2 And in Jak X: Combat Racing, He stopped them one last time but when they glare at him he says: "will ya kiss her already" so they finally kiss and Daxters quotes: "Thats what I call a photo finish".
