7-Aminoactinomycin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
7-aminoactinomycin (7-ADD) is a fluorescent DNA intercalator marketed by several companies including Anaspec, Invitrogen, and Biotium. It binds double stranded DNA and can be excited by an argon-ion laser to emit light at 647 nm wavelength. It binds GC regions selectively, making it useful for chromosome banding studies.
