Venom, brittiskt black metalband bildat 1979 i Newcastle, England. Gruppen är mest känd för att ha skapat en helt ny genre inom hårdrocken, nämligen black metal. Deras andra album var betitlat just Black Metal och kan räknas som det första black metal albumet.
Medlemmarna då var Cronos (bas/sång) Mantas (gitarr) och Abbadon (trummor). Deras största hits kom under perioden från den första albumet Welcome to Hell 1981 till At War With Satan 1984.
