Ska

Ska is a kind of music from Jamaica. Ska music played faster turned into reggae in the late 1960s.
In ska, the instruments normally play on the off-beat. If you go "one and two and three and four", the off-beat is the "And". people who play ska dress in cool clothes. These clothes often have a checkerboard pattern on them. This pattern is featured a lot in ska music and ska culture because it is a mixture of black and white squares, just like ska is a mixture of Black and White music. Also, many ska bands had both Black and White Members.
Ska often includes drums, pianos, electric guitars, bass guitars, and horns.
Sometimes ska is mixed with Punk music to make ska-punk. This kind of ska is from England.
