Wikipedia talk:Featured article candidates
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
I'm not sure this page is needed until we have a lot more decent articles, but if it is going to be kept, a better name is needed. The English Wikipedia have renamed theirs "featured articles". Is that simple enough for here? It seems simpler than "brilliant prose" anyway. Angela 15:17, 28 Feb 2004 (UTC)

South Street Village
South Street Village belongs to Luo He (river) city which locates to the south of Zheng Zhou city, China. It is a rich village. Looked from appearance, it doesn’t look like the village that people often think it should be in china. As a matter of fact, it takes the form of villa zone. Why given such a name—village to it? Because its starting point was small village. Same as other place South Street Village keeps the pace with the reform and open policy. Nowadays the life quality of the whole village basically gets to the “xiao kang ” level. The villagers live in spacious rooms, enjoying the modern rhythm. Cleaning concert roads, green trees and beautiful flowers can be seen everywhere. The village takes the route of collectivistic. Villagers are not only farmers but also workers. Food process industry is a main backup industry. There is no gap between rich and poor. They share daily bread. South Street Village set an example to other places.

[edit] SEWikipedia Policy
Unfortunately for the person who created this page (or someone who modified it), making a new article for a new word is not yet (and perhaps never will be) SEWikipedia Policy, because concensus has not been reached (see Wikipedia talk:What Wikipedia is not) and there are some strong dissenters (such as myself). Therefore, I am going to remove that part of the first criterium and add a reference to SEWiktionary, where I think those new words should link to. I won't delete the part about making a new page, because my opinion is not concensus either, I'll just add another option to the criterium. Happy editing! --Cromwellt|talk 03:21, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
