Closed source
From Wikipedia, a free encyclopedia written in simple English for easy reading.
Closed source (or proprietary) software is the opposite of Open source. Closed source software does not give others access to the source code of the software. Most companies who sell their software for money make it closed source to make it harder for people to copy it for free. Closed source software is often considered less secure that open source software, however this is not always the case.
