Thimet (O,O-dietylo-S-(etylotiometylo)-tiofosforan) - fosforoorganiczny insektycyd o działaniu kontaktowym i systemicznym.
Jest oleistą cieczą o niskiej lotności (2,7*10-3 mg/dm³ przy 20°C). Bardzo słabo rozpuszcza się w wodzie (0,025 g/dm³).
Jest toksyczny dla istot ciepłokrwistych. LD50 dla szczura wynosi 2 mg/kg.
