Stevie Wonder (Saginaw, Michigan, USA, 13 maggio 1950) è un musicista soul, R&B, pop e funk statunitense.

Cieco fin dalla nascita (per via di un'eccessiva quantità di ossigeno nell'incubatrice), il suo vero nome è Steveland Hardaway Judkins e quando fu adottato prese il nome di Steveland Morris. Stevie è una leggenda della musica pop: bambino prodigio (a quattro anni suonava già il piano), è un polistrumentista (suona batteria, chitarra, tastiera, percussioni e armonica). Ha inciso numerosissimi successi per la nota etichetta Motown, vincendo ben 24 Grammy Awards. Nel 1989 è entrato nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Wonder ha sette figli; l'ultimo, Mandla Kadjay Carl Steveland Morris, è nato il 13 maggio, 2005, ed è il secondo bambino di Wonder con l'attuale moglie, Kai Millard Morris. Il primo si chiama Kailand Morris. Il cantante ha anche vissuto una lunga storia d'amore con la nostra famosa cantante di stornelli romani Gabriella Ferri, morta suicida qualche anno fa con cui ha partecipato al Festival di Sanremo 1969 con Se tu ragazzo mio.

Il successo di Stevie Wonder come multi-strumentalista ed esecutore musicale con coscienza sociale è significamente influenzato sia dal R&B sia dalla pop music. Tra i musicisti ed esecutori che elencano Wonder come uno dei loro maggiori influssi sono Mariah Carey, Nik Kershaw, India.Arie, Musiq Soulchild, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Jay Kay, e i membri di Jodeci e di Dru Hill.

Stevie ha ricevuto 24 Grammy Award e un Oscar per la migliore canzone nel corso della sua carriera. Nel 1989, Wonder venne inserito nel Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Venne anche inserito nel Songwriters Hall of Fame. Nel 1999, ha ricevuto anche il Kennedy Center Honors e venne premiato nel 2004 con l'onore più alto ricevendo il Billboard Music Award per il Century Award.
