Leggo che l'esperimento è stato eseguito nel 1887. L'ultima frase è "La conclusione, come aveva previsto Einstein, fu che il vento d'etere non esisteva." Einstein nasce nel 1879. All'epoca dell'esperimento egli aveva dunque 8 anni. Sappiamo tutti che è stato un genio, ma non fino a questo punto... :) ! Io sapevo che Einstein prese il risultato del suddetto esperimento (ciò che voi chiamate "assenza del vento d'etere"), ossia il fatto che la luce ha la stessa velocità -c- in ogni sistema di riferimento, come postulato e quindi *presupposto* per la teoria della relatività ristretta.. Hai ragione, Einstein conosceva l'esperimento di Michelson-Morley solo indirettamente (cioe' giusto perche' citato da Lorentz). Un buon articolo riguardo al rapporto tra questo esperimento e la nascita della teoria di Einstein e' : 'Special relativity and the Michelson-Morley experiment', B. R. Chapman, Phys. Educ., Vol 14, 1979 (lo sto' leggendo giusto ora).
