CHiPs è un telefilm statunitense andato in onda tra il 1977 e il 1983 sulla rete televisiva NBC. In Italia viene spesso riproposto da diverse emittenti.

Il telefilm racconta le avventure di due Chippies (agenti della California Highway Patrol) di pattuglia sulle immense freeways e highways di Los Angeles. I due agenti, che vestono caratteristiche uniformi color kaki e montano due motociclette Kawasaki 900 Police nelle prime serie e poi Kawasaki 1000 Police, sono interpretati da Erik Estrada (agente Francis "Frank" Llwellyn Poncherello "Ponch" ) e Larry Wilcox (agente Jon Baker).

Nel 1998 è stato prodotto un film per la televisione "CHiPs'99" che ritrae i due poliziotti ormai non più giovani, ma sempre pronti a sfrecciare sulle loro motociclette, questa volta due BMW rt1100-P nuove di zecca.

In uscita nel 2007, è in lavorazione un film per il grande schermo che riproporrà le avventure dei due agenti CHP sulle strade della Los Angeles anni '70 ma con attori nuovi, sarà Wilmer Valderrama a interpretare Ponch.
