Edgar Rentería

Edgar Enrique Rentería (nacido el 7 de agosto de 1975 en Barranquilla, Colombia) es un interbase y bateador derecho del equipo Atlanta Braves en las Grandes Ligas de Béisbol. Rentería firmó en 1996 con el equipo Florida Marlins, realizando su primer juego en las Grandes Ligas en 1996.
De Rentería se recuerda su carrera impulsada en el inning once del septimo juego de la Serie Mundial de 1997 para dar a Florida su primer título mundial. Al final de esa temporada fue transferido al equipo de St. Louis.
Rentería ha participado en el juego de las estrellas en los años 1998, 2000, 2003 y 2004. Guante de oro en 2002 y 2003.
Edgar Rentería, se encuentra jugando actualmente para los Bravos de Atlanta, en el cual inició en el presente año(2006) luego de pasar de los Cardenales de San Luis. Mantiene el record para los Bravos de Atlanta de juegos consecutivos bateando al menos un hit.
