- Description in Chinese: 此畫繪製時，陳澄波已滿三十二歲，美術學校師範科畢業剛進入研究所。由於前一年（1926）入選帝展的光榮，使他更加努力於創作。在這幅自畫像中，我們看到畫家清瘦的面龐，卻透露出無比堅定的眼神，雖然身穿樸素黯淡的學生服，巨大的寬邊帽卻好比發光的光圈，充滿了無限的理想。背後的花象徵著藝術的生命。(by 李賢輝)
