Zurich Symphony Orchestra

Zürich Symphony Orchestra (S-O-Z) is a body of up to 72 professional freelance musicians. It is a major orchestra in Switzerland. It was founded in 1981 by Daniel Schweizer who is still its music director. S-O-Z plays 30—40 public concerts per year and its home is Tonhalle in Zürich. Among soloist the orchestra has performed with are Brigitte Farner, Michiko Tsuda, Nina Karmon, Lynnette Seah, Ulrich Meldau, Raffael Gintoli, Oswaldo Souza and Michael Erni. The orchestra has toured Singapore, Germany, Italy and Spain.
