Yumeria (ゆめりあ) is a Namco video game released for the PlayStation 2, and an anime series produced by Studio DEEN.

Tomokazu Mikuri, the main character in the game and anime, turns 16 after 15 years of a boring life without girls. On the night of his birthday, he dreams of a strange world in which he sees a young girl in a blue outfit, fighting against an unknown enemy. Tomokazu has a strange, unknown power which seems to “power up” this girl, who has fallen into his arms. She uses this “power” to repel enemies.

Waking up, Tomokazu is amazed at this dream's realism, thinking of his strange power, and the mysterious girl who fought off her enemies. Rolling over, he sees the mysterious girl from his dream in his bed next to him. His older cousin Nanase Senjou then walks into the room, only to find the girl revealing herself to be Mone. Soon Mikuri Tomokazu, Mone, Nanase, her sister Kuyou and his classmate Mizuki Agatsuma enter the dream world, and fight together to save the planet.

[edit] Trivia

  • In Episode 1 of the anime, when Mikuri encounters Mone for the first time, one of his lines is subbed as "What is this light? Some kind of new Hilbert Effect!?". This is an obvious reference to the Hilbert Effect in the Xenosaga series.
  • Neneko's hat is an unlockable item for the Character Creation mode in Soul Calibur III.
