Yasuj

Yasuj is the capital of the Kohkiluyeh and Buyer Ahmad province in southwestern Iran. Its covers an area of approximately 15,563 km².
It had an estimated population of 136,509 in 2005 [1], and is reported to have a thermoelectric power station.
It is said that Alexander of Macedon and his Macedonian forces prepared for their storming of the Persian gate ("Darvazeh-ye Fars") in a camp northeast of Yasuj.
