[edit] Boundaries

A safe Labour seat including mostly working-class areas from the boroughs of Salford and Wigan;the only Tory area of strength here ironically is Worsley itself,a pleasant village with black and white timbered housing, and also Boothstown.

[edit] Boundary review

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Greater Manchester, the Boundary Commission for England has created a modified Worsley and Eccles South. This will be fought at the next UK General election.

The existing link between Salford and Wigan for parliamentary purposes has been broken, hence the requirement to alter the existing Worsley seat
