[edit] Academics
Jewell offers the distinctive Oxbridge Honors program, the only program in the United States offering a full curriculum of tutorial-based instruction in conjunction with a year of study in England. This highly personalized approach to education, with many opportunities for personal connections with faculty members, combines the British and American approaches to education. This writing-intensive program extends over all 4 years of college, with the junior year spent at either Oxford or Cambridge.
Jewell also offers several dual degree programs in Engineering with Washington University in St. Louis and Vanderbilt University. A student interested would spend three years of study at Jewell in the Physics department and then transfer after successfully completing the application process to the designated institution for two more years of study. They would be granted a BA in Physics from Jewell and an engineering degree from the other institution.
