William J. L. Blair

William James Lynton Blair (born March 31, 1950) is a British QC and domestic and international banking and finance law specialist. He is the elder brother of the British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Blair was educated at Fettes College in Edinburgh and Balliol College, Oxford where he was awarded a BA in 1971. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln's Inn) in 1972. He is currently a specialist in domestic and international banking and finance law. He is visiting Professor of Law at the London School of Economics, and has been admitted as a Barrister of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in the Territory of the Virgin Islands. He has been previously appointed Deputy High Court Judge, Recorder, and part-time Chairman of the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal (Finsmat).
