[edit] Album information

Unlike the movie, the album Who's That Girl became an instant international smash hit, with the song "Who's That Girl" becoming a number one hit in the United States, the UK and Puerto Rico, among others. Another hit included on the album was "Causing a Commotion" (peaking at #2 in the US), although it could be said that the song was only a mild hit compared to the title track. The third song released from the album was the minor hit "The Look of Love" which was release outside of North America and charted in the Top 10 in the UK.

Although Madonna was the main star of the album, contributing the most songs, and the album is generally considered to be one of hers, it is actually a various artists album. Five other music acts contributed to it. In fact, Duncan Faure's "24 Hours" and Michael Davidson's "Turn It Up" have also been released as singles.
