When I Get Thru' With You was a song written for Patsy Cline in 1962 and became a minor hit for her that year also.

"When I Get Thru' With You" was only a minor hit for Patsy Cline in 1962. This was a far cry from her previous big hits, such as "I Fall to Pieces" and "Crazy". The song went to #10 on the Country charts and #53 on the Pop charts. The song however was not like her previous hits in two ways. The first way it was not like her other minor hits was that it made the Country Top Ten and her other two minor hits didn't make the top ten. The other reason was that the song was more upbeat, having a more Pop influenced sound than a Country-influenced sound. Cline sings about how she desperatley wants a man that she really likes, the only problem is he has a girlfriend already. So what she decides to do is try to get through with him and in the end she says, "when I get thru with you, you'll love me true, not Sue".
