Wetzel's Pretzels logo

Wetzel's Pretzels is a chain of fast-food restaurants in the United States. Originally founded in 1994 by Rick Wetzel and two partners, the chain specializes in soft pretzels. The first store was opened in the Greater Los Angeles area. The restaurant was originally called Wetzel, but was later renamed. Wetzel was teased about his last name in high school.
