West Virginia National Cemetery

West Virginia National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the city of Grafton, in Taylor County, West Virginia. It encompasses 89.7 acres, and as of the end of 2005, had 3,010 interments.

In 1975, after all attempts at determining if it was feasible to expand Grafton National Cemetery resulted in the determination that it was not cost effective, a committee was organized to petition the governor for the development of a new National Cemetery. A 58 acre tract of land which was the cemetery of the West Virginia Industrial School for Boys was selected. It was dedicated on September 27, 1987, even though construction was not yet completed, and it opened for interments the following day.

- The Industrial School for Boys monument, a granite memorial erected in 1992 in memory of the residents of the Boys School who were interred in the cemetery between 1890 and 1939.
