[edit] Interchange

Interchange between the three stations is via the street. In order to complete a journey on a single ticket, interchange is permitted between the stations - for example from Richmond to St Albans, a valid route is to change here.

[edit] Silverlink

West Hampstead is a National Rail station on the North London Line between Brondesbury and Finchley Road & Frognal. It is in Travelcard Zone 2.

The station and all trains are operated by Silverlink.

The normal service is a train every 15 minutes to Richmond and a train every 15 minutes to Stratford, with alternating services continuing to North Woolwich.

Anglia Railways used to run a service that called here, between Norwich and Basingstoke, but this was discontinued in autumn 2002, due to congestion on the North London Line and the financial return being less than that forecast.

The station was called West End Lane until 1975.

[edit] London Underground

It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with West Hampstead tube station. (Discuss)

West Hampstead tube station is on the Jubilee Line.

[edit] Future

Chiltern Railways run train services from Birmingham and Aylesbury through the area to Marylebone railway station and have suggested adding new platforms on their line and creating a combined London Underground, Silverlink, First Capital Connect and Chiltern station complex on the site of the three stations.
