Wayward Angel is the third album by Kasey Chambers and was released in 2004. The title track was written about Chambers' toddler son Talon Jordi. She co-wrote three songs on the album with her partner Corey Hopper. These included the song "More Than Ordinary?" about a rejected lover. Nash Chambers, her brother produced the album. The first track "Pony" features baritone guitar by Steuart Smith who has also worked with the Eagles and Shawn Colvin.
Wayward Angel was released on May 31, 2004 in Australia and debuted at #1 in its first week, achieving platinum status. "Like a River" was the first single from the album.
