Way of the Warrior is the title of an ultra-violent fighting game released for the ill-fated 32-bit 3DO CD-ROM system by Boston studio Naughty Dog. The internal 3DO rating system gave the game a "17+" rating label for its graphic violence and gore. The game's soundtrack is the 1992 White Zombie album La Sexorcisto: Devil Music, Vol. 1. Naughty Dog worked with American Laser Games to develop an Arcade version of the game, prototypes were built and tested but never made it to floundering arcade market.

[edit] Storyline

The player has to combat nine different world warriors, plus their shadows, and an evil dragon in order to become the greatest warrior. The game is a 2D fighting game similar to Mortal Kombat, Primal Rage, or Eternal Champions. Each character has various offensive and defensive fighting moves, combination attacks, and special moves that kill the defeated opponent in some ultra violent manner. The game also had several hidden characters that could be unlocked with a secret code.
