Wareham railway station serves the town of Wareham in the English county of Dorset.
Lying to the north of the town, it is served by the hourly South West Trains service from London Waterloo to Weymouth, usually a Class 442 Wessex Electric unit, and is the terminus for an hourly local service from Brockenhurst.
This station had a bay platform for the Swanage branch line until 1972, when the branch closed. The branch is now operated by the Swanage Railway between Swanage and Norden. The Swanage Railway wants to restore the rail link between Swanage and Wareham, and thus restore a connection with the National railway network. [1]
