War Prince Nataku is a fictional character in the manga and anime Gensomaden Saiyuki. Nataku Taishi was considered a heretical being with taboo origins. War Prince Nataku was also known as the killer puppet. Nataku was the predescessor of the War God Homura. Nataku served 500 years long before the beginning of Gensomaden Saiyuki. Because of his taboo blood, he was ordered to subdue the Bull demon Gyumaoh and his minions with the help of the heaven army. Although he managed to subdue Gyumaoh, he suffered wounds that almost took his life.

Before the incident of his being ordered to subdue Gyumaoh, he met Son Goku, another heretical being. The two grew to be accustomed to each other because they both have the same nature. Before subduing Gyumaoh, Nataku promised to take Son Goku on a tour of heaven at the same time Son Goku promised to tell Nataku his name if he ever obtained one. After that, the two met again in the room of Nataku while he is recovering. Although it was the last time the two would ever speak again in Sayuki Gaiden, the two would be the best of friends.
