WarGames is a video game for ColecoVision. The object is to avert a nuclear counterstrike by using anti-ballistic missiles, interceptor jets, submarines, and a laser satellite to protect cities and bases from incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles, jets, and submarines.

The United States is divided into six sectors, each with its own cities and bases. As cities and bases are destroyed, the Defense Condition (DEFCON) status for that sector decreases. The DEFCON level for each sector is factored into the total DEFCON status. When the total DEFCON status is at 1 for 60 seconds, or when all cities and bases have been destroyed, a counterstrike is launched and the game is over. The game is won by preventing a counterstrike long enough for a cease-fire to be reached.

The game was ported to the Atari 8-bit family and Commodore 64 family of computers.

A real-time strategy game with the same name was released for Windows in 1998.
