Walker Brothers is a series of pancake houses in Chicagoland. In business for over 45 years, they are famous for their apple pancakes and omelettes. [1]

In 1948, brothers Victor, Everett and Dick, began what was to become four Walker Bros. Snack Shops in Evanston, Illinois. By 1960, Victor and Everett continued to expand as one of the first franchisees of The Original Pancake House from Portland, Oregon. In 1960 they opened in Wilmette followed by Glenview in 1981, Arlington Heights in 1987, Lincolnshire in 1990, in late 1992, they opened at Port Clinton Square in Highland Park and in December of 2001, they opened in Lake Zurich. Chef and food critic, James Beard, named Walker Brothers as one of the top ten "best" in America. Recognized by USA Today as one of the "Top Ten Pancake Restaurants in the Nation." Zagat recognized them as a Chicago's "best breakfast - bar none" and the "north and Northwest suburban family favorite." Chicago Magazine presented them with the Critic's Choice Award for the "best breakfast" around. They received the "Gold Cup" from Superior Coffee Company, a coveted award of excellence. [3]
