Phonak is a Swiss company that specializes in wireless and hearing systems. The Phonak Group consists of three divisions - Phonak Hearing Systems, Unitron Hearing and Wireless Communications Systems.

Phonak traces its roots back to the "AG für Elektroakustik" which was founded in 1947. The company was bought by Ernst Rihs in 1965. As of 2005, the group employed about 3,400 employees worldwide. With a market share of 13-14%, Phonak is the number four hearing system company worldwide.

Phonak is currently the main sponsor for the UCI ProTour road bicycle racing team Phonak Hearing Systems. On August 15, 2006, Phonak Chairman Andy Rihs announced that Phonak's sponsorship will cease at the end of the 2006 UCI season and the team will be disbanded. Rihs pointed to the Floyd Landis doping scandal (which broke out after the completion of the 2006 Tour de France) as being the main reason behind his decision to break up the team.[1]
