From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Philemon Wright High School is an anglophone high school located in the Hull sector of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It is administered by the Western Quebec School Board and named after Philemon Wright, founder of Hull.

Philemon Wright has been a front runner to anglophones in a francophone environment since it opened in 1969, helping students attain the required credits determined by the Quebec Ministry of Education. The students are introduced to science, history, biology, french and have the chance to experience music, drama and art.

Philemon Wright had a huge rivalry with their (then) crossroad rivals, D'Arcy McGee. The rivalry was huge during sporting events such as football, soccer, basketball, volleyball and various other extra-curricular activities.

The school mascot is the falcon.
